For most players, you don't need to understand all of the technical details to play normally. We recommend simply keeping Competitive Mode enabled and using X-Accuracy when playing for clears, as they provide useful and more consistent accuracy information.

ADOFAI determines judgements from the angle difference between the planet and the tile when an input is made.
For d = (planet angle) - (tile angle), the standard judgement ranges are:

| Early!! | More than 60° early |
| Early! | More than 45° and up to 60° early |
| EPerfect! | More than 30° and up to 45° early |
| Perfect! | Within ±30° |
| LPerfect! | More than 30° and up to 45° late |
| Late! | More than 45° and up to 60° late |
| Late!! | More than 60° late |
