Next: Rolling / 4 Key Base & Thumb Usage

This guide introduces Pseudos, Rolls, and Non-Dominant Patterns, which become increasingly important as you progress beyond basic 2-key gameplay.

In this guide, you'll learn about:

Pseudo

Pseudo consists of multiple key presses that are hit almost simultaneously with one hand. Pseudos can be made with different numbers of keys, such as 2K, 3K, 4K, and more.

Although the Pseudo playstyle tag is only assigned to Planetary difficulties, They are one of the most common patterns you will encounter in ADOFAI.

When playing pseudos, do not intentionally hit both keys with two hands at the same time. Learning them this way can build bad muscle memory and make them harder to play correctly later. Charts that specifically force two-handed pseudos are generally related to Key Limit and are outside the scope of this guide.

Pseudos are usually played with a very slight roll rather than perfectly simultaneously. The two inputs are technically not at exactly the same time, but are extremely close together.

Some more extreme angled pseudos aka multitap pseudos can require the two inputs to be much closer to simultaneous, making the slight roll much less noticeable.
