This guide covers ghost keys and how they can be used to maintain rhythm and rolling motion when certain physical keypresses are not meant to register in-game.
In this guide, you'll learn about:
Ghost keys are an advanced technique used to maintain a rhythm or rolling motion even when certain physical keypresses do not register as inputs in-game.
There are two main types of ghost-key usage: Videos by Ghostify
Index ghost keys are used to maintain your rhythm during pauses or gaps in a pattern.

With a Key Limiter, a key next to your normal playable key, usually toward the outer side, will not register in-game. You can still press this key physically to keep your finger movement and rhythm going.
This allows you to keep the same movement going through a pause instead of stopping your hand and having to restart the motion afterward.
In the video, the player uses index ghost keys throughout the chart to maintain a consistent rhythm. This is especially useful here because the chart requires very precise accuracy, with a PP + 25% timing scale, making it important to keep the physical rhythm consistent through the gaps.
